Why would you want to use a delegated wallet?
When folks run into wallet issues, it can be avoided by using a fresh wallet that is not attached to anything else
Valuable assets such as Land or other NFTs can be stored on a cold wallet that has not been connected to any other sites
A cold wallet has NFTs that are not to be moved or cannot be moved, and you would prefer to keep it that way
If you need to change the wallets connected to your Pixels account, please follow this guide instead
If you are a new player:
Create a fresh new hot wallet to use in game! You can go ahead and sign in to the game using this wallet, as it will be the wallet you will use going forward while playing Pixels.
Go to Delegate.xyz to associate (proxy) the cold wallet used to play pixels.
Log-in to the website using the cold wallet that holds the assets
Click where it says "Tap to start using Delegate"
Choose the option that says Delegate a wallet, contract, or asset.
Make sure you've selected the Version 1 contract. Pixels does not currently support the Version 2 contract. Then enter your delegate wallet into the field provided. (Your hot wallet address) then click Submit Delegation
There will be a gas transaction associated with this account. After you've made this connection, this will become a READ ONLY link between the wallets.
Now log out of the game, and log back in and you should have access to NFT avatars or NFT Lands associated with the account. If it doesn't show right away, please give it a few hours for the account to connect.
Avoid creating an account in Pixels with your cold wallet as this could create issues with the delegation
If you are an existing player:
Transfer any valuable assets to a cold wallet from your existing hot/game/pixels wallet(s)
This keeps your game levels so no progress is lost
A cold wallet has NFTs that are not to be moved
Go to Delegate.xyz to associate (proxy) the cold wallet used to play pixels.
Log-in to the website using the cold wallet that holds the assets
